Historical Atlas of the Upernavik area.
Moving around in the field you very often meet remains from the old days – some of them are easy to understand, and others do need a special knowledge of the Cultures of Greenland to understand. To guide you through the history up here, we have created this Historic Atlas, where everybody will be able to find some information about the sites.
Click on the map underneath and the Atlas will start up in Google Maps. Another possibility is to open it up in Google Earth. Going through the sites you will always have the option to open up some clarifying information about the different cultures, events and house types.
